“There are many medical events that deal with Fibromyalgia Syndrome.
But between the theory of what health professionals learn and practice, there is a central piece that does not receive due attention, but is definitive in the success of the treatment: the patient. Understanding your desires and how the proposed treatment impacts your life is essential. No one better to show the way to the health professional than the patient himself. We fibromyalgia patients must also understand that we are the protagonists of our disease, that we can and must expand the knowledge of what affects us, as this is undoubtedly the best way to adhere to treatment in a more committed and responsible way, pursuing realistic results, that medicine offers. It is in this sense that ANFIBRO and its Italian sister LIBELLULA LIBERA, supported by AISF and ENFA, joined efforts to hold the 1st INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF PATIENTS WITH FIBROMYALGIA.”
